Welcome to Magnolias & Crystals. Whether you’ve been here since the early days or just stumbled in, I’m so glad you’re here.

This blog has been part of my life since April 2016, when I first launched it under the name Southern Belle Grace. Back then, it was simply a personal space—a little digital porch swing where I could share what I felt was missing in the wider blogging world. My goal was to talk honestly about life, especially the parts that often get left out or brushed under the rug.

At the time, I chose to steer clear of politics here. I believed this should be a place where anyone, from any walk of life, could feel welcome—no arguing, no judgment, just connection. But over the years, and with a lot of personal reflection, I’ve come to believe that some things are too important to stay silent about. I’m not here to preach or provoke, but I do believe in using my voice for human kindness, empathy, and justice. If that means speaking up occasionally about what’s right, then I believe it’s worth doing—because our shared humanity should always come before our differences.

In April 2021, I rebranded the blog to better reflect the energy I wanted to cultivate here: softer, more magical, more me. Magnolias & Crystals became a cozy, witchy corner of the internet where I could focus on the rituals, comforts, and creativity that nourish my spirit—and hopefully yours too. This rebrand wasn’t just for aesthetics. It was about creating a homey space for those of us who feel a little out of place in the world, but whole in the company of kindred spirits.

What started as something just for me has blossomed into a small, beautiful community. I never expected to grow this blog beyond its original borders, but now it lives on Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, and even YouTube. You’ll find morning ritual teas, spellwork, cozy chats, kitchen magic, game streams, and other glimpses into my life as a Southern Witch.

As for me—I’m just a simple, sometimes-glam, often-messy-bun woman doing my best to live an intentional, love-filled life. I adore reading, writing, crafting, connecting with my friends, and spending time with two of the most important people in my life: my sweet mama, and my beloved darling, Lady Katherine Elizabeth (who you can, of course, follow on her own Instagram for her daily dose of royal flair).

This blog is still evolving, just like I am. But no matter where it grows, my intention is the same: to create a place where people feel seen, welcome, and inspired. A place where magic meets everyday life. A place where you can take a deep breath, grab a cup of sweet tea, and sit a spell.
