It’s SPF 30, Y’all!

Happy Thursday, Belles & Beaux!

Today is part two of my ApothoCARE Essentials reviews, and it is all about their SPF lotion. This was the second product I received in the same voxbox as the mask from Influenster and I’m loving it.

Now the rule of thumb is that you’re actually supposed to wear sunscreen ever day on your face a minimum. And if you think oh well my foundation/bb cream/cc cream has SPF in it, that isn’t enough y’all so start investing in a good face SPF lotion. I thought the same thing and the tops of my cheeks burnt during my college graduation. The only thing is I don’t practice what I preach.

Putting on SPF every day should be a part of your routine as regular as putting on your make up. This one has quickly become my favorite and I’ve really been trying to use it regularly. Sometimes I even just toss it in my purse and go because the push dispenser actually twists to lock so that you can do this! So I’ll just put it on when I get to work before I go in. You just need it to keep from having even slight damage to your skin on your face which is more sensitive than a lot of your skin that is in the sunlight.

I love this one with only one downfall. It makes me look a little shiny after application but once it absorbs into the skin it’s not noticeable. And it’s really not noticeable when you put it under your foundation! Fair warning: this is slightly scented but it’s not that overbearing. Or it’s not to me at the very least but I don’t have a super sensitive nose either. It smells just like the mask because they both have similar ingredients.

Now as far as how my skin reacts to this, I have no bad reactions in terms of sensitivity. Like I said, other than the slight shininess of my skin when I first apply, this stuff pretty much has me in love with it. I only gave it four stars because of the shine on both Influenster and the ApotheCARE Essentials websites.

Oh did I mention this is also a moisturizer? Because yeah, that’s the other great thing about it. I hate having to use product on top of product on top of produce, especially when I’m doing my makeup. I like to really just do my primer and moisturizer before putting on my foundation and this lets me do that as well as protect my skin from the harsh rays of the sun. This does run for $25 USA at Ulta, but to me it’s extremely worth it and I will be purchasing a new bottle once I’ve used this one up. But because you don’t need much this will last you a while.

I honestly think I want to try all of their lines because there are some products I would love to see if they are a fail or not. It’s not all that expensive as I’ve seen similar products cost much more depending on the brand. I think this is a good solid brand from what I’ve seen and I can’t wait to try more of their products!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
