I am back again with another product review. This one I really wanted to give the time and dedication to trying it as I purchased it on sale with Ulta and it was kind of my last big splurge on myself before I moved into my new place. I’ve seen the advertisements on YouTube and such, but I really wanted to give it a try as I’ve noticed that when I used things besides my hands to wash my face that my small bits of persistent acne tend to start to disappear.

I bought this pretty little thing at the end of July and had it shipped to my mom’s house due to the move. She then brought it up to me when I moved into my own place so that I didn’t have to worry about it getting misplaced in the move. I’ve been using it for about two and a half months pretty much faithfully and I can definitely tell a difference. I currently still use my charcoal mask on my face to spot treat due to period issues. I know hormones but why?

Anyways, let’s rewind to when I first got this baby. Clarisonic has had these for a while and I’ve tried other versions of these types of things before. To me, they never really seemed to help my skin/acne. But when Ulta had the Mia 1 on sale back at the end of July, I took the plunge and bought one. I figured if I didn’t like it, I could always buy a new brush head and sell it on Poshmark for a little bit of money to recoup some of the losses.

Boy was I wrong.

Now, Clarisonic describes this brush as the following:

I had to pull that from the Mia 2 description because Ulta no longer carries the first one on their website. Now this doesn’t bother me because the brush heads are all universal.

I have definitely noticed a lot of difference with my skin in the last two and a half months of using it. When I use it regularly with my skincare routine, I notice even more difference. I have oily skin so I have to be careful what products I use because some can be more stripping than others.

This brush works amazingly with my E.L.F. Daily Facial Cleanser and my Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash. It is also fantastic at getting my makeup out of my skin. I still use my micellar water on my eyes, brows, and lips, but otherwise I’m using one of my facial washes to wash my makeup off. It hasn’t stained the brush or anything like that which makes me happy. Sure I have to buy replacement heads every three months or so, but I think that is totally worth it to keep my skin clearing up!

I absolutely love this thing. Now I know that not everyone can spend $100 plus dollars. I definitely suggest investing in a cheaper version – Ulta carries many options on their website that are under $30. No, this isn’t a promotion for them. It’s just the fact that there are cheaper options for you to look into.

I love my Clarisonic. And I will most likely keep with it as long as I can afford to buy one as well as supply with the replacement brush heads. I highly recommend using one to start removing your makeup as well as keeping your hands from being used to wash your face!
