Sorry About Yesterday

Happy Wednesday, Belles & Beaus!

First let me apologize before we get into this post for not being here yesterday. As I said Monday, it’s my last week at Tractor Supply. Yesterday went a little crazy, but everything seems to be back to normal. But just in case, I did knock on wood.

As for today’s topic, I have been planning on doing a post about the whole “A Day in the Life of Me” but I just haven’t felt comfortable enough to share that yet.  I’m working on it! I promise! But for now, I figured my morning routine would work in the interim.

I have a really short morning routine in all honesty. I’m not a morning person until nearly 9 or 10 though I can fake it until then because that’s really the only way to survive in the world. I just can’t be extremely peppy first thing in the morning.  As much as I love Elle Woods, I am not her.

CaptureFirst thing in the morning, I’m in the bathroom. I wash my face and get my teeth brushed because I usually don’t get hungry for any kind of breakfast until around eight-ish, which is still too early for me as I usually don’t eat until nine or ten on the weekends. But I wash my face and brush my teeth first because if I’m not fully awake by then, then it usually wakes me completely up.

I’ve started yet another face wash routine which I’m really enjoying and it’s doing my skin a great deal of good. I’m back to using my ELF Daily Facial Wash and then on every third day I’m using my Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash. I’m trying to exfoliate less, but still keep a good amount going on as it really helps get the ick out of my pores.

I was really enjoying the two Ponds cream lotions that I used for a good while, however, they quickly proved to be too oily for Spring/Summer use. Now, I know with me saying I’m oily, that this probably doesn’t seem like it would be good for me, but I say I’m oily because I am in my T-zone. However, I’m extremely combo skin everywhere else so it really helps to use this. I don’t go in with a heavy hand, giving it the opportunity to really absorbed into my skin.

After all the skin care that I go through in the morning, I typically just run the brush through my hair and leave it as is before getting dressed.  Lately I have been leaning towards wearing dresses as much as possible due to the summer heat as they are far more comfortable than wearing pants to work. And with the new job starting on Monday, I have full plans to hit up TJ Maxx and Ross for some new dresses to wear that are far more professional than the ones I preference now!

Have a happy hump day, y’all!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
