Nashville Area Edition

Happy Friday Eve, belles & beaus!

Wow, this week has already flown by and I can’t believe we’re almost at the weekend. And with my good news yesterday, it’s about to fly by even faster in the future. But today, I wanted to talk about my favorite local places to eat here in Nashville because I’m most likely going to experience some new ones this weekend. After yesterday’s very Alumna Life post, I can tell it’s not as big a hit as I would like them to be. But that’s what I want to write about so that’s what I wrote about. So today, I’m going to write about my other true love: FOOD!

FYI: The headings for each section will include links to their websites. However, Quinn’s is currently down but definitely check back here if you need quick access to the link to check it out!

The Pharmacy

Located in the East Nashville area, this little eatery is so popular you have to reserve your place in line online. It was totally worth it the other day though when my friend wanted to meet there for dinner. I got to dress relaxed – the weather was cooperating – and we chilled at our table once we were seated. There aren’t individual tables so you get seated at a big table with space between you and the other people. But it was amazing! The burgers were delicious and I got to have a sprite out of a glass bottle. This thing was huge. Please don’t mind my excitement. It was the first time since I was seven that I’ve gotten to drink one like that.

They offer some really awesome homemade burgers with their own special recipes, but I played it safe as it was my first time there. We chilled inside and just ate. It gets really crowded but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. It’s also a must have if you’re looking for something local instead of going to chain restaurants in Nashville. I personally can’t wait for the summer so we can go back and sit outside in the sun – even if I will have to make sure I wear sunscreen!

Quinn’s Neighborhood Pub & Eatery

This is probably one of my favorite places currently because I’ve been twice – once when I tried it with my little and again for us to go eat dinner recently. Though it is technically located in Franklin, it’s one of my favorite places and I still consider it to be in Nashville. This is also the first place that I haven’t had to add sugar to my sweet tea. Their website is currently down, but the pub is so quaint. They have outside seating during the summer as well as trivia on Monday nights. A major plus for this southern belle is that I don’t have to add sweetener to my tea – which is a normal thing at very many restaurants.

McCreary’s Irish Pub and Eatery

My first time eating here was with one of my women’s fraternity sisters and I fell in love with their apple cider beer. The atmosphere is just amazing. On Saturday nights, they have an Irish band in house that plays instrumentals which is probably my favorite part about going there on a Saturday. The food is fantastic – at least to me. I love their fish & chips and I keep planning to try more, I just don’t end up doing it. I’ve been there three times and I actually have been wanting to go again on Saturday. I highly recommend that if you are in the Downtown Franklin area to check this place out.

Mellow Mushroom

Another try with my little. She ordered a calzone and I got a burger – shocker! But next time we go, I have full plans of trying one of their pizza’s because that’s kind of what they’re known for. This one is also located in Downtown Franklin on one of the corners at the square. It’s very family friendly and also has a fabulous atmosphere. It gets packed very quickly though so I would definitely either try to get there early in the evening or call to see if they take reservations. We just walked in when we went and waited for a few minutes, but we also chose to eat there very last minute.

Have a happy Friday Eve!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
