I meant to have this out yesterday but it obviously didn’t happen! I was so distracted Sunday between shopping and margaritas with my little… And then attempting to walk dogs when I got back to the house a little tipsy. Yeah, Sunday was just really good to me.

And yesterday was just…. Long and I had to re-string my grandmother’s pearls because one of the strands on the inside decided to snap so the pearls were really loose and I have a 20s themed part tomorrow night with my women’s fraternity Alumnae chapter. So they just had to be fixed!

But this is not about that. This is about my first complimentary/free VoxBox from Influenster! It is for Herbal Essences new line called Bio:Renew. I was skeptical. I have color treated hair. If you follow the blog Instagram at all or are one of those that has been blessed with access to my personal, then you know that my hair is color treated. I don’t hide it. I bleach and process my hair to the ends of the world and back.

But I also really work hard to take care of it. Which means deep conditioning it at least once every two weeks. I am trying to be faithful to my three times a day hair skin and nail vitamin. I know sounds excessive right? But it’s after every meal which means I remember to take it 80 percent of the time. I make sure to get protein in at least once to twice a day – even if that means sitting and eating peanuts! But let me be honest, I love peanuts.

But as I was saying, I was skeptical. It is safe for color treated hair according to the bottle. It is supposed to help balance the natural pH of your hair. All of this is according to their claims on their bottle. I’ve used it once. There was no damage to my hair color. My head felt so clean! It still does and I’m on day three from when I last washed it which was Saturday night! I’ve only tried it this once as I just went home and the box had arrived that day as well. So I haven’t had it long enough to really experiment and see how my hair is going to react.

Tonight I actually have to wash it because tomorrow night is the 20s murder mystery party. So essentially I’m washing it so I can put curlers in my hair and wake up like a curly q the next morning. Yep. I don’t miss those days at all. But we’ll see.
