The Sixth Day of Blogmas
Yep, belles & beaus, we’re going there.
Gremlins has been our family tradition for a while now. It’s very similar to Die Hard in the aspect that it’s a movie that isn’t about Christmas but is set during Christmas time. Now of course, everyone prefers Bruce Willis and all that but Gremlins is always my choice to watch on Christmas day.
We typically watch White Christmas or some other Christmas based movie the week before leading up to Christmas, but Gremlins is typically put in the DVD player and we watch it as we have breakfast and open presents on Christmas day. I fully blame it on how much I find Gizmo absolutely adorable. I mean come on! Do yourself a favor and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, start looking and find yourself a copy of the movie!
Now the sequel is not nearly as good and it’s not Christmas based so we don’t really watch it unless they show it on TV. But the first one was pretty darn cool. There’s one scene where they’re all in the movie theater watching Snow White and they all start singing the Heigh-Ho song. Granted, the gremlins are more reptile like at that time, but it’s funny to hear how they sing the song.
Christmas movies are pretty much my favorite and I always enjoy watching the movies with mama. They’re so much fun because we just laugh and enjoy it together. Sometimes we do gingerbread for breakfast or we do waffles!
