Oh And Happy Birthday, America…
Hey, Hearthfolk,
Yep you read that title right. Today is Captain America, Steven Rogers’ 99th birthday according to his birth date in the comics. I couldn’t resist doing this post because he’s my top comic book character – long before Christopher Evans ever hit the big screen playing him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I mean sure, it’s the Fourth of July. It’s the day us Americans typically celebrate the founding of America, but this year things are a tad different for most of us. There are a many that feel alienated by the government here and let’s be honest, they’re undermining all the progress that’s been made over the last decade.
So today I’ve decided to raise a drink to the dear Captain on what would be his 99th birthday should he really exist. Today’s a pretty lounge-y day so it’s time for a drink and some good BBQ!
