They Deserve Love Too!

Apologies for the delay in posting. I had plans to work on a post Monday and… Things just happened. Personal life things happened and they’re still going on but alas I must press on.
Today’s post is coming to you due to a recent purchase with BH Cosmetics.
“What is BH Cosmetics?” is something you are possibly asking yourself. If you have not been introduced to them yet, let me be your tour guide into the best thing that one of my sorority sisters ever turned me on to. And I’m super irritated because I thought I had a selfie of us together, but I don’t. So have a selfie of hers! Yeah, I so admit I stole this off her Instagram. She knows I love her though.
So anyways, that little cutie/most wonderful sorority sister ever turned me onto BH Cosmetics when I was complaining – yes complaining – about never finding makeup that I was in love with or concealer that matched my skintone. Literally BH Cosmetics is amazing ya’ll. I’m very brand loyal as most of you know to my Bare Minerals, but I literally have been impressed with all the things I have from BH Cosmetics.
My first run in was the Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette. I didn’t purchase mine from BH Cosmetics website at the time because I was skeptical. I was lucky enough that I found it at Ulta. To be honest, I’m in love with it. She’s just come out with an extended palette through BH Cosmetics but I haven’t ordered it yet. It’s an expansion on the 14 color one that originally released and there are more colors!
My second run in with BH Cosmetics was their 36 piece brush set that I dropped the most obviously annoying hints to the mumsy about for Christmas. The brushes are amazing quality and I love using them – even if the foundation brush is completely the wrong kind of brush. I still use my Bare Minerals brushes for my foundation/tinted moisturizer but other than that I feel like a slave to my BH Cosmetics brushes. I think the angled eyeliner brush is quite comparable with the descriptions I have heard about the E06 by Sigma. I’ve quite enjoyed using it to create my winged eyeliner with.
My latest run with BH Cosmetics has come in the form of three amazing products that, truth be told, I probably shouldn’t have ordered but I figured if I was going to order one thing I might as well order all three.
The first product I want to talk about is their Studio Pro Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Onyx. I have been practicing my eyeliner with a drug store gel liner to get the hang of things and I have decided only to use this for when I’m feeling like I can get it right. This stuff is waterproof, ya’ll. And I mean waterproof beyond belief! I use the waterproof micellar water by Garnier to remove my makeup and I can admit that I still have some of the eyeliner clinging to my left eye for all that it can. It’s that stay proof! It’s a really easy to use liner to me. It went on smoothly and filled smoothly as well and I would definitely say it’s comparable to what I’ve heard of the Sigma and Anastasia’s gel liners respectfully. I really like the way it feels on my eyelids.
The second one that I was what I really made the order for is their Studio Pro Total Coverage Concealer. Now as you all probably remember, I mentioned the NYX Cosmetics Photo HD Concealer in Porcelain a while ago. I thought it would work, but there was too much of a yellow tone to it – which Porcelain shouldn’t have – so it’s going away. Their 101 was described as being as light as possible with a pink undertone, which is what my skin has. I tried it for when my niece and I went to see phantom with my makeup that day. I was so shocked with how well it blended in with my Bare Minerals foundation. It was also amazing with sharpening my winged liner up too. Love it! And the applicator is pretty cool.
My last product is the Quick Change – Brush Cleaner. I got turned onto a similar product by Leigh Ann in one of her youtube videos I believe. But hers was not the BH Cosmetics one. It was actually the Sephora one. It’s basically the same thing: a textured dry sponge in a metal container that you run your brushes over to take out excess color. The major difference? Sephora’s costs $18 USD. BH Cosmetics costs – currently – $7.99 USD. Even full price at $11 USD it is still cheaper than the Sephora one. To me, I think it is extremely comparable to the Sephora one and I honestly truly love it. It works amazing and I do love it because it really helps when you only have one style of a brush. I understand some people like to have multiples, but that’s not me. It’s just as easy to continue to use the same brush just make sure to clean the brush enough so that you don’t get the color you were using previously.
So there are my latest purchases from BH Cosmetics. I know I probably should have talked more about their affordability as well as how awesome their products all are, but the truth is, you really just have to go and experience them for yourself.
