Worth It?
Well, Belles & Beaux, I tried another product so that you don’t have to!
I started taking SugarBearHair back in April of this year (2019) to see if A) they worked and B) if they worked better than my $10 USD bottle of Hair/Skin/Nail Vitamins by Nature’s Bounty at Wal-Mart. Sometimes you can get a cheap vitamin and they do pretty amazing – like my Wal-Mart ones. And then sometimes you pay a lot for a vitamin and they do absolutely nothing but taste good. I’m pretty sure you all know where this is going so without any further chatting, let’s get into the review.
Pro – They Taste DELICIOUS! And smell it, too!
Literally the best thing about these vitamins is they are delicious. You won’t forget to take them because you want to take them. They’re that good. I honestly think they taste like BlueRaspberry which is one of my favorite candy flavors in the world. You don’t have to swallow these whole, just pop them in your mouth and chew since they’re gummies. It’s my favorite thing about these vitamins.
It’s a little similar to taking the Flintstones’ vitamins growing up because they honestly tasted good to me so I didn’t mind taking them. That’s the same case with these. They are delicious and I never forget to take them
Con – They Really Don’t Work
I know, why am I paying $30 USD for vitamins that don’t work. Well I wanted to try them out first of all. Second, I couldn’t resist to see if they really worked. I mean, 90 days should tell you if these actually work? I’m a little over 2 months out from going to get my hair done and almost two months out from the last time I got my hair done in the picture to the left. This is honestly the same amount of growth that I typically have without vitamins so I would definitely say that these are a dud. I still think my cheapos from Wal-Mart worked much better in comparison to these and am actually going to go back on them for a little while.
I honestly feel like I was paying 100% for the brand name and do not think that these work in any way, shape, or form. If you want something that works, I’d suggest staying away from SugarBearHair and not wasting your time. Brad Mondo was right, definitely a placebo. At least in my corner. I have the same amount of growth that I usually always have about two months out from having my hair done.
Con – My Bottle Never Had Exactly 30 Days worth
And by this, I mean that I always had one more than what I had to take. The instructions tell you to take two a day, and I always took them at the same time every day so there’s no way that I was taking more than what was needed – despite how delicious they were. But I always ended up with all three of my bottles an extra gummy bear just floating around in the bottom. I’m not kidding! Like they need to pay more attention because you’re giving people extra product that they don’t necessarily need and it’s going to cost you as a company more in the long run if this is happening with every bottle.
Con – You’re Really Paying for the Brand
I had checked into another brand recommended from one of the lovely ladies in the UrbanGirl Nashville group about vitamins. The ones she recommended were all organic, were at Target, and cost $20 USD. When I checked them out, I found that I was more than likely paying for the bottle than I was the vitamin as they were in a glass bottle.
In this case, it’s the opposite. You’re really paying more for the brand in this case. I don’t mind paying a little more for things if they’re going to work, but as I’ve stated before these don’t. They were a waste of nearly $100 USD in my case.
If you want to actually help your hair grow, then please stay away from these. If you’re seriously interested, start adding more fatty acids and protein into your diet. I did that for a good while supplement my vitamins and it really seemed to help them work more effectively. There are a few more on my list to try. Your body does grow used to things and will stop helping them to work in your body so changing your vitamins up on occasion doesn’t hurt!
XOXO,
Trula Marie
