What the Actual Frick?!

Better late than never, Belles & Beaux!

I’ve been in utter shock but also semi-anger after Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones. First of all, we were told that episodes this season would almost resemble mini movies – lasting a great deal over the normal hour length of the episodes from previous seasons. Well, the first episode of the season only lasted 55 minutes and the second episode is only projected to last for 58 minutes.

HBO, WHY YOU LIE?!

Okay, so enough with the incorrect grammar. I’m not going to do any spoilers for the episode. I refuse to do so. I will say some major information was dropped on a specific character close to the end and I’m absolutely dying to to find out how others are going to react to this information.

Jon got to ride a dragon and there is some irony in the dragon that he ends up on if you pay attention. Sansa and Dany were throwing major shade at one another. To be very honest, they writers treated this episode as a major setup for what is going to happen later on in the episodes as if this were a feature length movie. Fifty-five minutes of setup and that was it.

Again, I want to know what happened to these wonderful nearly two hour episodes we were promised when they were in the editing stages of these episodes. This Sunday’s episode isn’t going to be much longer which is really going to suck. I’m honestly just at the point of praying that Jon doesn’t die early on.

Why you might ask?

I adore Kit as an actor. Everything else I have see him in, he has been pretty darn good in. The reason I would most definitely not want him to die is because I do actually want to see the end of this show. And if Jon Snow dies before the end of the show, then I’m going to quit. This is like reading Allegiant and getting to the point where Tris dies right before the end of the book! And it’s your own fault if you didn’t read the books and are just now finding out that Tris was going to die in the movie if they’d made it.

Yes, I eventually finished the book, but it was weeks after I had started reading it. And that is most likely what will happen if Jon Snow dies in the middle of the show. I will quit watching and wait until I have properly mourned.

Summary of the first episode though: lots of information not enough action.
