Round Two

Happy Tuesday, Belles & Beaux!

Now, today’s post is going to be a bit of a mix of review/about me post because not only am I sharing the hair tools and products that I use on a regular basis, but also why I love these products. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, then you know I’ve done this post before with all of my favorite hair tools – and that’s it. If you’re new to the blog, then you can find that post here.

Now last time I really just focused in on the tools I use to blow dry my hair straight. Today I’m going to share my go-to products and tools to do my hair otherwise. And do not worry! Each header will have links for you to check out the products, and no I’m not going to receive kickbacks if you buy anything. No affiliate links are present!

BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron (1 Inch)

Recently I got one of these – I’m an addict for BaByliss Pro tools – and I’m thoroughly loving it. I’ve used my ConAir cheap ones for the longest time. They get the job done, but these are really aimed at not only curling your hair, but lessening the heat damage as well. With my ConAirs, I always had to have the heat setting as high as it would go. With this one, I’ve barely even scratched the surface of how hot it can go.

I’m also currently looking into getting one in the 3/4 inch size as that’s how I used to do a lot of my curls when my hair was longer – currently still working on growing it out after the Stressful Summer of 2018. And you know how people tell you dirty hair does better with curls? No. Everyone’s is completely different and you have to find what works best for you. For me? First and second day hair work way better than third day hair ever does. However, I still love the way my hair curls, but sometimes it’s still super difficult which leads up to my next product.

Big Sexy Hair Spray & Stay Intense Hold Hairspray

I use this hairspray very light handedly to just dust over my curls after I have finished playing with them to create the look I want. Sometimes my hair plays nice and I don’t use any hairspray like for my Christmas photos. Other days, I feel like I’m going to use the whole bottle of hairspray because it’s going to be a day where the curls won’t hold.

This is one of my favorites that I keep coming back to. I’ve tried so many other hairsprays over the years, but this is one that both my hairstylist and I love and use on my hair regularly when she’s creating styles in my hair that need that extra guarantee hold.

Kristin Ess Strand Strengthening Reconstructive Mask

Now, I’ve talked about my Palmer’s coconut masks before. These is what I use when I’ve gone a little too crazy with the heated tools – hairdryer included – on my hair and it needs some replenishment. I’m still occasionally using the coconut one, but for now this one takes precedent. A lot of people complained about it making their hair “sticky” and I’m curious to understand how.

For me, I shampoo my hair – the same way I do with my coconut mask -, rinse my hair, and hop out of the shower to put about a nickel size amount in my hair. It doesn’t take much, and I’ve discovered that with this product it’s very much a less is more approach idea than anything else. I comb this through my hair with my fingers and then use my comb to make sure there are no tangles. After ten minutes or so – depending on how badly my hair needs the attention – , I’ll hop back in the shower and rinse it off and continue with my normal shower routine.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Dolly Bow Make-Up Headband

Okay, so it’s more for when I’m washing my face or putting my makeup on, but I love this adorable little headband to death. I use it when I doing anything to my face and it keeps my hair back so that it doesn’t get too messed up. Sometimes you can’t help that things happen. I couldn’t help but include it since on some tiny technically level it is meant to be used with your hair.

And so there you have it, the latest round of products and tools that I’ve been using for my hair. Comment your favorites below!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
