IT GOT HERE YESTERDAY!!!!

And you wanna know what, belles & beaus? It came in at 2:03 pm and I was sitting at my desk at work and I couldn’t leave to go home and try it on immediately and I just had to sit there thinking about it.

Yes, that’s exactly how my brain was thinking yesterday afternoon. It was just a complete run on sentence of basically the following: I want this day to be over faster so I can go home and try my dress on and shower and wash my hair because it’s dirty but most importantly try my dress on and get my workout in because Tuesday was my rest day but I really really really just wanna get off work so I can go try my dress on!

But I was also honestly thinking about a sudden pimple on my cheek that came up as well that needed to be mud masked pronto.

Essentially, there were no mental breaths. It wasn’t happening. I literally love this print and have wanted a dress in it for so long and then finally finding a size eight in it…. I literally thought this would never happen. There is one other holy grail print I want for myself but I can’t bring myself to pay near retail value for it when the proceeds no longer go towards the Non-Profit it was created for.

I love Lilly, but it’s really hard for me to find a print that I’m in love with and isn’t what I would deem “too crazy.” See, I love the AOII Lilly Print. I love the she she shell print. I have a few others that aren’t too crazy for me. But my first real “expensive” Lilly dress was a white strapless number with rose cutouts that I wore for my college graduation – with my cowgirl boots because that’s how I roll. So this is my second piece of “expensive” Lilly. Because you have Lilly Pulitzer for Target and that is what I called “affordable” Lilly. One day, I will have more Lilly pieces but for now, I’m pretty content.

Now the goal is just to find a really nice derby hat that is structured per An Historian’s suggestion. I promise I listen when you tell me things about style that will help me out a little. Even if I do prefer big floppy hats like my idol Katherine Scarlett O’Hara. Because one day I will have that BBQ party dress and a hat that big to keep the sun off my freckled shoulders.

I will post pictures on the Instagram on Sunday after church… However, I also decided to wear it to work today because I wanted to see how it would wear for work. But so far, I’m absolutely in love!

Have a happy Friday Eve!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
