One of Her Three Guide Books
Okay, belles & beaus, I had no plans for this to end up being one of my posts this week but here we are and I can actually admit I finished reading this in two days. I devour books now, y’all. I don’t know how my appetite will ever be abated!
Anyways, so I finished reading this today and I wanted to tell you that I don’t know why I didn’t read it sooner. Granted, the makeup sectioned bored me because I literally knew most of it before I read it. But the suggested packing lists for travel and everything else she put into this book is going to be my loose guide to future shopping. I really need to capsulate (is that even a real word?) my wardrobe down big time! I have so much stuff that I never wear or feel like I never wear so we’ll see how this helps.
Thought I’m somewhat regretting not reading it sooner. I found her book Beauty before I found Style at McKay’s here in Nashville. It sucks but I still need one more book from her series. I love the look of them as they’re very sleek and I can’t wait to have a place of my own with a coffee table to put them on. Like that’s part of why I like them. Not just the wealth of knowledge that it’s them, but also because they’re really awesomely in my aesthetic.
I’ve enjoyed reading this and getting an insight on how to better shop and create a capsule wardrobe. I still have a couple other closet geared books I want to pick up before I really start cleaning everything out and getting some fresh pieces that I’m in love with into my closet.
But it’s definitely worth the read if you’re wanting some simple tips on how to curate a closet more styled for you instead of society! I can’t wait to take these tips and start putting them to use.
What style book have you recently read that had great tips?
XOXO,
Trula Marie
