Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation First Impressions

Hey, belles & beaus!

I apologize for the lack of post yesterday. I posted on the Instagram and Twitter about it, so if you need filling in, please go there to find out.

But today, I figured I’d give a new product review. I’m super late to the game with this product. I apologize because I was extremely reluctant to even try this foundation. One of my sorority sisters – the same that turned me on to BH Cosmetics – talked me into it because I had been telling her about my pinking issues for all of my other foundations. I’m still using my Tarte hybrid gel foundation and the Maybeline Fit Me Matte + Poreless combined, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try a new one.

Fastforward to recently being matched with Fenty Beauty and finding out the shade I needed was the 110 shade. I can be honest in why I really decided to give it a try. If an albino person could find a match, then what did I really have to lose? I’m pretty much close to Albino coloring as you can get without actually being albino. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Unlike those that can tan, I’ll have really nice soft skin when I’m in my forties (#SorryNotSorry).

I paired this up with my favorite primer – Becca’s Ever Matte – on Monday before work and I was shocked! Rihanna, via my first impression, definitely knocked this out of the park for us oily people. I got a little oily under my bottom lip and that was all. I mean I got oily around my nose but less so than normal. It’s coloring never changed on my skin – a major pay off in my opinion.

The only downside I have to say about it was that I didn’t get to use my setting powder like I normally do, so there was a little bit of foundation lost through the day just because of how it sets on the skin. I’ll give an update when I get to experiment with my baking and setting powders!

For me this definitely gets an 8 out of 10. Two points deducted for the current situation of losing some foundation throughout the day because of the way it sets. But hopefully my real product review with using my powders and such will help it become a 10 out of 10!

Have a happy Hump Day, y’all!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
