That’s a Mouthful, isn’t it?

Hey belles & beaus!

Time for another product review! I’m kind of excited about this one because it’s a really big deal to me. If you follow the blog Instagram, you might remember I was complaining that my current foundations by Bare Minerals were oxidizing to a really pink color on my skin. This just recently started within the last year. Both are new bottles so I don’t know what is going on, if Bare Minerals has changed their formulas or what. So I’ve been considering trying a new foundation and this one just happened to be on sale. I love it so much that if by the time my next paycheck comes along I might buy an extra to put away for later.

To be honest, I tried the formula and walked around the store for a bit and fell in love with how it felt and how the color blended. Well I tried it that afternoon and was impressed. But I recently went home right after work and started doing my makeup. I kind of changed my routine up a little because of how it felt the first time I used it. I actually put my Becca Matte Primer all over my face due to the fact my cheeks were getting oily and felt really weird after I took the makeup off.

For the most part, I love the formula. It’s extremely hydrating but I haven’t been having the problem of it looking horribly pink on my skin unlike my recent issues with my Bare Minerals foundations. It’s slightly pink but I honestly believe it depends on the lighting or how close I happen to be looking at it.

I would definitely recommend it though. It’s a gel formula so it is – in a way – better for those of us with oily skin. Gel just does better with our skin for some reason. I mean, it’s not for every person with oily skin but sometimes it’s the difference between feeling comfortable or not. This foundation does settle into the skin, which is something that I don’t like but the best way to combat that is a good primer. I’m actually going to grab the NYX Poreless again and use it as well with this and see if it helps with the settling problem. If any of you know of another primer that could help, feel free to leave it in the comments!

I hope y’all have an amazing Friday and an awesome weekend!

XOXO,

Trula Marie
